Artists inspired.
The acclaimed artist dame Laura Knight,having walked from Penzance and turnign off the road into the valley of Lamorna for the first time remembered "it was well worth getting wet feet splashing through mud and puddles on the way along the rutted lane from Penzance,for it would seem we had suddenly entered Paradise;a densely wooded valley filled with lichen-covered trees of greenish grey whose branches threw a bluish tracery of shadow over the rich tufts of grass already speckled with yellow of early Primrose and white Anemone".
